SeaTrace International (STI) is a market leader in sustainable and responsibly sourced seafood for the Philippines’ premium-quality hotel and export markets. As the Philippines’ largest sustainable seafood company, they carry all kinds of seafood specifications such as live, fresh, and frozen products.
At the core of STI’s values are its Responsible Sourcing and Procurement Guidelines for wild catch and aquaculture. They’ve been hosting the Philippine Sustainability Movement Event since 2015 to raise awareness for sustainability in food supply chains. Aside from retailing locally, they also export yellowfin tuna to US, EU, and Dubai clients. STI signed the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) Certificate Sharing Agreement with Philippine Tuna Handline Partnership (PTHP) which will enable the company to trade MSC-certified yellowfin tuna from the Philippines.
As one of Better Seafood Philippines’ first partners, STI continues to work together to fight against overfishing and ocean exploitation. It has established transparent sourcing practices and is raising awareness about the importance of making environmentally-conscious seafood choices.
